How to use Windows 8 App store behind the proxy in IITG
Windows 8 was finally here. You can Download from software repository and install in your computer or you can Upgrade from your windows 7 OS. No need to mention the new features in windows 8 , I think you already know. It has a metro interface integrated with the start menu and various apps are available in the windows app store for the metroUI. Some of you might have tried and installed the previous releases of windows 8 like developer preview, consumer preview and release preview. In the release preview version app store was made available for trying apps and people have faced problems in downloading and installing apps. Not to mention the common problem is the PROXY server. All the computers in the institute runs behind a proxy so the IP address appears to be the same for all the computers connected to the LAN system. The metro Apps in windows 8 prefer direct internet connection so it has to be configured properly. Following steps will explain how to configure the apps to use proxy for connecting to internet.
Steps to follow:
1. Install ccproxy in your PC making yourself a host. Click here to download CCProxy. In CCProxy
goto Options->Advanced->Cascading.
Enter the proxy institute provided. (Ex:202.141.80.??)
Enter your username and password and click OK.
Minimize it and let it run in background.
Also you can configure it so that it will be started on windows startup.
To add it to startup press windows+R and shell:Startup and click OK. Paste the CCProxy shortcut in the folder which was opened. You can Also travel manually to the folder by
<C:\Users\(User-Name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup>
[It isn't working]
2. Metro apps are configured so that it blocks accessing through local proxy server. You have to exempt it from loop back using the Loop Back Exemption Utility Tool.. Run the program after you download it. Press Exempt all then save changes. Also every time you download a new app from the store you have to exempt it from loop back.
3. Configure the Internet Explorer as the proxy server = Your room's IP.(Ex: 10.1.1.??) and port as the port present in CCProxy. Goto Control Panel->Network and Internet->Network and Sharing Center -> Internet Options. or Internet Explorer->settings->internet options.
Then in Connections tab click LAN settings. Check use a proxy server for your LAN. In the address box use your room IP(ie, 10.1.?.??) and port 808.
4. Now open command prompt with run as administartor . Type the following
netsh winhttp import proxy source = ie
(edit: port in CCProxy means the port it hosts on your computer (by default it is 808). Your proxy in ie should look like 10.1.?.?:808 in IE.)
5. The final step involves modificationof registry files. Press windows+R and Run regedit . Travel to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet\EnableActiveProbing
Set the value to 0.
a. Again Press windows+R and Run gpedit.msc . Navigate to
b. Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network Isolation .
c. Enable "Proxy Definitions Are Authorative" and "Subnet definitions are authorative" .
Completed the final step Now you are ready to access store and all the apps windows 8 has to offer.
Comment if you have any queries regarding the connection problem.
If not correctly configured you can still access the store but unable to install any apps available. You can get the most common error such as purchase error.

And I believe Mr. Debasish Pattanayak isn't willing to answer any of us.
This Loopback exemption utility tool, shows all Package by Microsoft. Yet only store is different.
And AC user field is set to everyone.
What exactly is the problem with store?? Why only Store.
